DESIGN AND ART OF AUSTRALIA ONLINE

In May 2011, Design & Art Australia Online (DAAO) was launched as a collaborative e-Research database site.

Built upon the foundations of the Dictionary of Australian Artists Online, DAAO is an Australian Research Council funded collaborative database and discovery service operated in partnership between UNSW and Sydney University and managed by COFA (UNSW) with the purpose of preserving and making freely available as much of Australia's art and design history as possible.

As Research Director (2010 -2013) I was responsible for leading an amazing team in the redesign and rebuild of the site.

Since 2014, I have been employed by DAAO as a research development consultant, where I continue to assist DAAO team with site and community development. We made a rather sweet little video that explains the project. It's only two minutes long, so have a look! https://vimeo.com/89530081

In 2015, I will travelling around Australia on a DAAO 'roadshow', explaining the what and how of DAAO.

You can follow the project developments on the Project Research Blog: http://blogs.unsw.edu.au/daao/
